Architectural Awards and Recognition: A Reflection from the Studio

There’s something uniquely humbling about seeing your work in print. Whether it’s tucked inside the pages of Home and Garden Colorado, featured in Oasis, or highlighted in Where Architects Stay, each mention feels less like a spotlight and more like a quiet nod that says, “We see you.”

As architects, we spend so much time in the mess of it—pencil smudges, coffee-fueled late nights, and the stubborn details that just won’t resolve—long before there’s ever a ribbon-cutting or a photo shoot. Our projects live in the tension between inspiration and iteration. They take shape through sketches that get scrapped, models that get rebuilt, and more than a few “back to the drawing board” moments.

That’s why recognition means so much to us. It’s not just about the final image or the polished story—it’s about the journey. Each press feature carries within it the hours we’ve spent listening to our clients, wrestling with constraints, and finding beauty in the challenges.

Architectural Awards and Recognition Along the Way
While our greatest satisfaction comes from the relationships we build and the spaces we create, there have been moments along the way when the wider design community has recognized our work. These architectural awards and recognition are meaningful to us not only because they honor a finished project, but because they celebrate the collaboration, creativity, and persistence that got us there.

Each of these moments is a reminder that good design isn’t just about what’s built—it’s about what’s felt, remembered, and valued long after the work is done.
We’re proud, yes. But more than that, we’re grateful. Grateful for the people who trust us with their homes and communities. Grateful for the collaborators who share their craft and insight. Grateful for the chance to create work that resonates beyond our studio walls.
If these pages inspire even one person to see architecture as more than buildings—as a way to connect, to feel, to belong—then we’ve done our job. And that’s worth more than any headline.
